I grew up in the troubled times of my parents divorce, boarding in a Catholic convent school when about 7, then moving to Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. There I trained in, then taught martial arts, gaining third Dan in Judo, earning my living from teaching unarmed combat, and giving motivational talks to large companies and groups. I had twenty years in the Police Reserve during the turbulence of bush warfare and the horrors of Apartheid. I was head hunted by Special Branch. Then moved to UK in 2009, with my husband who was born in Bromley, Kent. My life's experience had led me to successfully develop two very popular talks: 1: 'Aware Alert Alive' Teaching gentle people, men and women, to avoid violence and to use simple self defence techniques to remain safe. An enjoyable, uplifting and fun hour for all ages. 2:'Everyone has a story to tell! ' Based on my self published book, 'Letting Go', I cover the often hilarious and sometimes sad trials and tribulations of my life. Covering my mother's escape from the Nazis to becoming the 'Harare Mata Hare' as a successful spy.
