I have been making groups of people laugh for the last 14 years. I am known as a stand-up comedian but I am sitting down during the 20/21 pandemic!
I started off writing humorous poetry such as Finding a Loo in a Strange Place, Nil by Mouth, Lady Walter Raleigh etc. and always include a couple of poems. I am a great observer of people so my scope is endless, I am always on the look-out for anecdotes, anything weird and I love telling jokes.
Depending on the time of the booking I can add Christmassy bits or nostalgia for anniversaries - nostalgia goes down well with elderly people's groups.
Views: 1347 | Enquiries: 82I began giving comedy talks about 17 years ago to various women's groups, men's groups, WIs, U3As, Probus, Trefoil Guilds etc. My talk consists of observational comedy, jokes, funny poems, odd/interesting bits and bobs from many sources.
I like the audience to join in if they wish and I don't mind hecklers, if they dare. I always record each a talk on a computer file so that I do not repeat anything if I am booked again for the same for the same group.
I can include some Christmassy bits and/or nostalgia if that is suitable.
Some feedback from previous talks:
Pat has a rare and remarkable gift – the ability to see the funny side of absolutely everything. She makes what she does seem effortless, but in fact she is an excellent stand-up comedian.
Your interpretation of characters and comments on every day life are so perceptive.
We all enjoyed your numerous observations, anecdotes – a real antidote to the winter blues
Let's Make Jam WI June 9 2023
"Tonight' s speaker was Pat Hall with her own unique, funny, engaging stories, anecdotes, and poems. This was Pat's third trip to Jam and she certainly didn't disappoint - we adore her Pat first visited back in 2016, we loved her so much she came back in 2018 and then again this evening. Every time we've belly laughed and it's always been different. A fabulous night "
