I was inspired to set up my business by my children, but running a successful company from home whilst being a mum is no mean feat. Compromise is the name of the game - but how do you know when you're doing the right thing?
In this talk I share the ups and downs of being a mumpreneur; the benefits it brings for family life and the inevitable pitfalls. Being in partnership with my husband adds another twist to the story.
It can act as inspiration for those looking to set up their own business, or can be just pure entertainment for others who would never want to do such a thing!
Views: 1036 | Enquiries: 114 years ago I started making healthier granola at home for my family in an attempt to get nuts and seeds into my fussy eating son - now my granola is selling in Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett nationwide and we have big ambitions to sell globally. With a fair wind we'll hit a million pound turnover in the next year, I sometimes have to pinch myself!
The business has evolved from granola, we're now a team of 4 including my husband Mike, and we're all about gut health. We started talking about gut health 3 years ago and launched our Troo Gut Healthy Granola in January 2018. We now make gut healthy porridge and syrups, all packed with lots of prebiotic fibre, essential nourishment for your gut bacteria.
I'd love to share my entrepreneurial journey, talk about launching a healthy food brand or even give hints on tips on how you can live a longer, happier and healthier life through better gut health.
