The Semi-Pro Sixties is a talk based on my book of the same name. Covering a period from 1961 to 1976 I take my audience back to the time when budding musicians were forming groups and starting to play gigs in Youth Clubs, Pubs and Clubs. There’s plenty of laughs as I tell stories of the life and times of a semi professional musician setting out on the road for the first time. Drawing on my interviews with over fifty different musicians there are experiences from the outright funny to the downright dangerous!. These are real life experiences and illustrated with plenty of slides and pictures.
