From the late 1950s to the present day, my life in music from meeting Buddy Holly in 1958, through joining The Springfields in 1962 and having the FIRST hit in the USA by a British group, to becoming a record producer in 1965 and discovering Cat Stevens and Marc Bolan and producing 51 hits with them and Manfred Mann, Spencer Davies, The Move, Showaddywaddy, Shakin Stevens and Cilla to name a few! Through the 80s I started writing musicals and pantos for childrens theatre groups, and in 1999 I started a lecture career, leading to having a book published on the history of popular music entitled Every Song Tells A Story.
