Details of talks given by Phil Crompton
I taught geography across the Midlands of England , became a headteacher in 1999 and led secondary schools until 2018 when I stepped away to become a consultant, coach and cyclist. Since then I have travelled, thought , written and podcasted.
Here are some areas I speak about :-
My ascent of Kilimanjaro and what it taught me .( Based upon my book " I climbed Kilimanjaro and learnt things")
My journey around England finding out what people thought about their education- and how it could be so much better. ( Based upon my book " In Search of My Alumni")
My work as Chair of a sustainable transport charity and how we can learn from other countries. ( Based upon my book " We All Ride Bikes Now".
How people create lives that suit them and the advice we can offer young people . ( Based upon my podcast series " I Did You Can )
The importance of rivers ( based upon my on-going fascination with them)
My life as a supporter of usually lowly but occasionally triumphant football team
I enjoy engaging with people. No charge. It's all fun.
