This talk describes my earlier life working in London, to redundancy, and my journey back to the south west and becoming a writer, having given up on a Proper Job. Work with Cornwall Today led to the first of my books, which then led onto writing the Walks in the Footsteps of... series of circular walks books in Cornwall.

About Sue Kittow

I am a freelance journalist and writer of four books on Cornish walks - Discover Cornwall, Walks in the Footsteps of Cornish Writers, Walks in the Footsteps of Poldark and Walks in the Footsteps of Daphne du Maurier. I have also been a sailing correspondent and columnist for Cornwall Today, and interviewed many authors such as Bill Bryson, Lionel Shriver, Ian Rankin, Rosamunde Pitcher and Patrick Gale. I am also a keen singer, walker, reader, filmgoer and enthusiast of the outdoor life. Most of my outdoor pursuits are accompanied by my four legged shadow, MollieDog, who has become famous through Cornwall Today, my books and columns.
