Vera Brittain and the Great War, as told in 'Testament Of Youth' and interspersed with readings of poetry, both hers and others. She was to lose her brother Edward, her fiancee Roland Leighton, and several close friends during the conflict, in which she herself served as a nurse.

About Jonathan Jones

I took early retirement in 2010, having previously spent a career in IT, Quality Assurance and Process Improvement, latterly with Vodafone UK at their headquarters in Newbury, Berkshire. I have subsequently taken up a second career as a public speaker/performer, and have now delivered over 800 talks/performances.

My talks are predominantly based on literary figures and topics.
