This 1 hour talk includes women artists of different periods and backgrounds. The agenda is based on 3 sections:
- Why do women artists matter and why are there just a few women among artists in major museums?
- How did women become credible as professional artists over time? We will look at self-portraits from 1500's to the present day.
- Examples of museums and galleries where to see artworks by women artists in London. There will time for questions at the end of each sections and for a broader discussion at the end. The overall talk+questions lasts for 1 hour. I can deliver this tour online and in-person but only in London.
About Roberta
I have a big passion for history of art and architecture and I love presenting on different art topics, making them relevant and interesting for all audiences. My knowledge is based on academic studies, guiding art and architecture tours in London as well as going to exhibitions on my own and talking to artists. Example of topics of my talks: women artists, architecture of London, art & music, textile art, street photography, etc. Ad-hoc art topics can be agreed with the organisation.
