Study a selection of vintage patchwork quilts or smaller historic pieces and then create a selection of craft projects using different techniques inspired by the quilts and chosen theme, tuition provided by a qualified tutor and exclusive patterns connected to the quilts.

Workshop length 1 - 2 hour (with time for tea, chat etc) Available for groups at your venue, Fee £75.00 plus £5.00 per person for materials & travel at 50p a mile Materials for 2-3 projects, use of specialist equipment at the workshop and where needed handouts/patterns to take home.

Please contact me if you are a smaller/larger group or for all day workshops by hand or machine as I am happy to sort a cost/theme especially for your group.

Jane Cobbett is a tutor and collector of vintage patchwork, based in the West Midlands, she has a passion for old textiles and the methods used to create unusual and beautiful pieces from the smallest Victorian Love Token to full size quilts. Each of her talks come with a power point presentation and a selection of original old quilts for your to study and enjoy. She is also available for 'Hands on Patchwork' a short or full day sewing workshops where a selection of vintage quilts will be available for you to study and then a practical session where several small related projects can be made, these are suitable for all abilities.
