It really, really, really did start with a kiss! Come along and find out! Dylan Thomas was both a famous and infamous Welshman. As a poet/writer he had published 90 poems and will always be remembered for his ground breaking work 'Under Milk Wood'. However, his life became one long drink at the bar encouraged by his exhibitionist wife, Caitlin, and his friend and fellow drinking companion, Augustus John. Dylan died aged 39 in1953 leaving behind him a dysfunctional family, a pile of debts and lyrical writing that has become part of our heritage.Views: 59 | Enquiries: 0
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT...………. I offer BOGOF. Yes, buy one, get one free. You get 2 speakers for the reasonable price of one. Jacqueline and Brian Sutton give well researched PowerPoint presentations about an hour in length, although a break for refreshments can be arranged. We have our own PC, projector and screen. You provide the venue, an audience, and a power socket and leave the rest to us.
Jacqueline is a retired teacher who was Head of Drama at one of her schools before retirement. Brian retired after a varied career including property management and theatre management.
We do like to keep the audience awake (snoring is very off-putting) so as well as two voices, we put in the odd bit of humour or quirky fact. For instance, do you know how Dylan Thomas got lost after dying, who was the worst executioner in the 1600's, and how the Duke of Monmouth wasted 6 guineas? Book us to find out!
