Count Zeppelin always saw his airships as a means of transport as well as a weapon. In this talk we look at the heyday of travel in these huge craft. We will see how the Graf Zeppelin and the Hindenburg provided luxurious travel across the Atlantic. Learn how Great Britain tried, and failed, to match them and how the United States built two flying aircraft carriers. A fully illustrated talk that shows travel in a bygone age. This talk complements Giants in the Sky (1) The Zeppelin in World War One and can be delivered independently or as a follow on.
