Picture Post was the photojournalism magazine of the 40s and 50s. Just taking articles from 1950 this lectures looks as how Britain was at the time and in desparate need for regeneration. It is an incredibly nostalgic look and follows living, eating, sales, holidays, children's games, theatre and also the 1951 Festival of Britain. This hour long lecture contains over 300 scans, four film clips, advertising and ephemera. Remember Saturday morning cinema, holidays at Butlins or Scarborough - its all in this lecture.Views: 41 | Enquiries: 1
