A talk explaining how TV licensing works which also includes some facts and figures on evasion in the UK compared to other countries,
It also covers how enforcement is carried out together with anecdotes about encounters on the doorstep. Some of these anecdotes are amusing and some serious but show what life is like for enquiry officers.
The aim of the talk is to be both informative and entertaining and covers many aspects of the work.
Views: 911 | Enquiries: 15I am 69 years young and provide talks on two subjects. These are: A day in the life of a TV licence enquiry officer. A day in the life of a Metropolitan Police station officer.
Due to the nature of the work involved there are no slides, photographs or publicity material used. I believe I am the only person in the UK giving talks on TV licensing. The talks are approximately 45-50 minutes long followed by opportunities for questions. As well as providing factual information I include anecdotes about my time in each job. These may be humorous or serious but I aim to make all my talks both informative and entertaining. I am based in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire but am willing to travel to venues in Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire.
My charges are dependant upon the location of the venue and the distance but are , I believe, reasonable.
