We live a life where we either give out messages or we receive them. And so often the message gets muddled, misunderstood or just plain destructive.

We need to understand why and how our messages get so distorted and how we can change the way we give out our message and importantly how we receive messages.

We would never say to another person, the things we say to ourselves, so when did we become so good at self-sabotage and intent on destroying our own confidence.

This talks takes us through the journey of messages we take on board and how to change the way we receive and give information.

About Bev Hepting

An award-winning speaker and coach who works with women, transforming your business by clarifying your message, which allows you to speak in public with confidence and clarity.

  • Showing you how to create a message that defines what you do.
  • Creating the perfect presentation to attract those clients you want to work with.
  • Delivering the message with confidence so that your ideal client understands you, your business and wants to work with you.

From my background in Theatre, Teaching voice and speech to adults, winning speech competitions, and speaking at a variety of events, along with my experience of working with community leaders, project management and helping fundraisers get the message right to attract sponsors, I know that business relies on getting a clear message to the customer or client you work with.

I went off to make my way in the bright lights of London and trained as an actress.

4 years later I was a single mother of 1, and putting food on the table became far more important than fame. I moved back to my hometown and set about building a life for me and my amazing daughter.

I spent 3 years teaching speech and drama to children and adults and loved every minute of it, but the kids needed to eat, so time for a change.

6 years later I was married and had 2 beautiful children, with a career in the Voluntary Sector.

I spent 20 years working with vulnerable families, helping them aspire to be more than they were. I helped them stand up and tell their stories, we gave them new skills and built their confidence. Many of those projects I started with volunteers are still going 15 years later.

Illness stopped me in my tracks and after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I needed to rethink my life. I am now divorced, still a mother to 2 amazing kids, but now I am a grandmother to 2 amazing boys. The idea of going back to paid work left me ready to dive under the bed and stay there. I was used to managing myself and doing things my way. And my way was about fun, colour and motivating people to do more than they thought they could. I wanted to continue helping people find their voice, I wanted to run a business, I wanted to build a legacy for my kids and I wanted to have fun. What did I do best that covered all that? I can speak. Not only speak, but I was also trained to use my voice and use it well.

I then set about building ‘Discover Your Voice’ and realised that so many business people hated the idea of speaking in public. Yet they need to and there was born my niche. I now support business owners to speak with confidence and clarity and the results for people I have worked with is transformational.

Those that would rather dive off a high cliff than speak in public are giving talks, presentations and doing a video on their website and social media.
