Friends Against Scams is a national trading standards initiative to raise awareness of fraud and scams happening in the community.
It looks at how criminals work to implement a scam, how to identify a scam and how to protect yourself and others from falling victim to a scam.
I am a community banker for NatWest working in the communities of Leicestershire.
Part of my role involves giving free educational talks/presentations to different social and community groups and charities.
These talks include:
Friends Against Scams - Enables the audience to learn how to protect theirselves from becoming a victim of a scam.
Digital Safety - How to use online safely.
Ways to Bank - With branch closures this educates the audience on all the alternative ways to do their banking.
