Florence Nightingale Shore was a God daughter of Florence Nightingale. Wishing to follow in her Godmother's footsteps, Florence Shore became a nurse working in various hospitals during wartime and peacetime. However, on her retirement she was murdered. This talk looks at the life of Florence Nightingale Shore and also the evidence given in the court after her murder. The suspects are listed and then the audience is asked who they think murdered her. The answer is given at the end of the talk.

About Pauline Robson

I have a BA (Hons) degree in History and am an active local historian. I have been Editor of the Barwick-in-Elmet Historical Society's journal for ten years. My main area of historical interest is the Gascoigne Family who lived at Lotherton Hall. I have co-written a book about the Gascoignes and their chauffeur (he outlived all the Gascoignes whom he worked for) entitled 'The Spirit of Lotherton'. I am also an experienced family historian.
