A ‘History of Surgical Instruments & Devices’ looks at how some Medical & Surgical Instruments you would recognise have evolved often from nothing more than carpentry or metalwork tools and their development over the years. Little hearted and illustrated presentation of about 50 minutes using PowerPoint. A presentation explaining things in clear language. (no medical jargon just plain English)

About Andrew Relf

Semi-retired with over 45 years working within the NHS and Pharmaceutical Industry, it was during my tenure with the NHS that spurned my initial interest, now a Medical Historian and Restorer of Medical Antiques. Researching for Medical History is now the basis of my talks, which are designed for a general audience, I do not use medical jargon & my presentations are informative, humorous & well illustrated.

Ideal for U3a, Rotary, WI, Probus, Social Groups but also of interest to Historical Societies and General interest Groups.

I provide illustrated PowerPoint presentations using non medical jargon and can tailor or research talks to meet specific interests.
I have put East of England / East Anglia as a Region but happy to be flexible regarding other areas in Southern England.

My website (note : specialised for my business) may help provide some additional background information www.noahmedicalcollectibles.com

(Update January 2024 - I have been speaking to groups since 2014 and donate any fees given to charity, [two nominated each year] but regrettably with the cost of fuel I am now having to cover my expenses and then donating the remainder to charity.)
