A trek undertaken in 1999 from the road head town of Jiri in Nepal to the turquoise lakes of Gokyo and an ascent of Gokyo Ri for views of Everest and 4 other 8000m peaks. From the quiet foothills to the crowds of the Everest valley, we call at health posts and schools aided by the Himalayan Trust UK. When the weather is poor local life is the interest, when skies clear the views are more than worth the wait.

About Geoffrey Pawson

My brother Ian and I give mainly travel talks from holidays at home and abroad to raise funds for the Himalayan Trust UK which funds self help education and health projects in the Solu Khumbu and Tapeljung areas of Nepal. We are wiling to speak to evening meetings within a 25 mile radius of Skipton but would travel further at a weekend dependent on audience size. We do not charge a fee but ask for a minimum donation of £30 to the Trust and the opportunity to sell some Trust merchandise. ALL proceeds are spent on projects in Nepal.
