Details of talks given by Mrs KML Reed
A member of Equity, I've always enjoyed telling stories to audiences. I speak and dress as the character I'm portraying and always bring plenty of pictures and information along as well.
I'm fascinated by courageous , and sometimes peculiar women of the past. I love doing the research as much as the public speaking, on my way through book after book, I'm thinking - an audience would love this one! Really, giving talks is a way of sharing my own enjoyment.
You can 'meet' Emmeline Pankhurst, first English female doctor Dr. Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, African explorer Mary Kingsley, 19th century actress Fanny Kemble, Helen Keller's 'Teacher', Fanny Trollope (traveller in 19th century America) and (fictitious) Margery Thurston in 1941. I have ten talks titles available.
I've written stories all my life, and at the moment, during the Corona virus, I'm writing two or three a week either for adults or children
